My thoughts this weekend in The Carpenter center on only two things. One – obviously the most important – is the Risen Lord Jesus, who triumphed over sin and death: sins of other people, but both His own horrible death as well as the deaths we all face. We owe Him so much. Our adoration and love of Him arise out of our deepest gratitude!
Yet with the Covid-19 virus crisis, my thoughts and prayers are also with those who have died and those still suffering. Which means everyone: the sick, health care workers and family members caring for them at great risk, unemployed and poor people who can barely scrape by, all working remotely or now schooling within their homes, and so forth. And last but certainly not least YOU are in my heart, the wonderful parishioners and friends of the Cathedral, who on a personal level I miss most of all. Let us continue to remain strong in faith and hope!
