Still, due to the Covid19 (coronavirus) pandemic restrictions on attendance and other requirements such as required use of masks and "social distancing" remain in place at all Masses. Bishop Duca has dispensed all Catholics in the diocese from any obligation to attend Mass, and persons who are more vulnerable to the virus due to age or pre-existing health conditions are urged not to worship at Mass but instead to utilize the opportunity  to watch broadcast Masses offered by Bishop Duca, by Father Paul Counce, and by many other priests of the Diocese of Baton Rouge on CatholicLife Television, YouTube, and social media.
