09.10.2024: The offices of St. Joseph's Cathedral will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, September 11 and 12, to remain safe and secure due to the threat of Hurricane Francine.
03.11.2024: The blessing of the St. Joseph Altar will be performed at noon mass on Tuesday, March 19. The ceremony will be followed with a traditional St. Joseph Day meal in the community center.

01.08.2024: The stained-glass windows have inspired worshipers in St. Joseph Cathedral for more than 100 years. The cathedral community hopes to preserve their longevity for future generations.
11.21.2023: Our diocesan newspaper, The Catholic Commentator, recently published an article on the restoration of our beautiful (and priceless) stained glass windows.

09.07.2023: The Cathedral is going to the Felicianas where John Audubon painted his famous birds. We plan to leave Parish Hall at 8:00am and return at 6:30pm.
01.31.2023: The Saturday Vigil Masses on Feb 11th and Feb 18th are cancelled due to the downtown parade schedules. Please join us at 8:30 or 10:30 am on the following Sundays.
12.01.2022: St. Joseph's Cathedral has announced our 2022 Holiday Schedule of masses which includes a wonderful pre-mass Christmas Concert on Christmas Eve starting at 8:05pm. The concert will feature the Magnolia Strings Quartet, the Cathedral Festival Brass Quintet, the harpsichord, continuo organ, and the Cathedral Choir.
Musical selections will include the Christmas Concerto by Arcangelo Corelli, several movements from Handel’s Messiah, O Holy Night, and Tomas Luis de Victoria’s setting of O Magnum Mysterium.

11.01.2022: The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and a special Blessing with the relics of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos, C.Ss.R., are offered following the 10:30 am Mass on the last Sunday of each month!
