The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated each year by the Bishop of Baton Rouge on the Solemnity of Pentecost. Adults from throughout the Diocese of Baton Rouge receive the sacrament at this time, and parishioners of the Cathedral Parish - both youth and adult - join with them in this very special liturgy.
In the Diocese of Baton Rouge, young people typically are prepared to receive this sacrament in their 11th grade of secondary school; all adult Catholics who for whatever reason were never confirmed may also be prepared to receive this sacrament.
